BOCC  Philadelphia Youth Cricket Academy - a BOCC initiative

"Philadelphia Youth Cricket Academy (PYCA) - A subsidiary of the BOCC"

PYCA was incubated for 5 years as an experiment within the BOCC, a greater Philadelphia cricket club which has been actively playing andpromoting cricket for over 35 years, to evaluate regional interest in providing for the formal training of regional youth in the sport of cricket. Following five years of successful participation and growth, the PYCA initiative was formalized and institutionalized within the constitution and charter of BOCC.
Today the PYCA initiative is led by Mr. Sunil Gaikwad, a committee member of the BOCC, assisted by four members of the BOCC and other parents of the youngsters enrolled in the academy.
We degined youth program for boys and girls starting from age 7yrs and older.

Key milestones for 2019
  • Launch Youth U13 PA League
  • Conduct Yearly Memorial day week end tournament for our kids.
  • Coaching By Mr Kishore who have represented team USA
  • Coaching By Mr Dilpreet Bajwa (a senior BOCC league player)
  • Coaching By Sunil Gaikwad (PYCA founder)

“Learn to Play Cricket“ Sessions at Evansburg State Park The PYCA ( Philadelphia Youth Cricket Academy) is the largest youth cricket organization in the Phildelphia area. The PYCA is affiliated with the BOCC ( British Officers Cricket Club of Philadelphia) and its goal is to develop the game of cricket among young boys and girls of Philadelphia and Delaware area.

The following section describes the minimum age requirements for joining and practicing at PYCA:

Boys: 10y to 15y (strong enough to play with 3.5oz leather ball)
Girls: 8yrs to 15 yrs (With Tennis Ball)
Practice times: These will be announced at the season kickoff in April - typically it's the weekend around 0830
Where Evansburg Park, 528 Skippack Creek Rd, Collegeville, PA

The objective is to ensure you have fun, play matches and understand cricket!
No endless boring coaching sessions.
All you need is proper athletic clothing and a protector.
We will supply all the equipment.
The sessions will be conducted and closely monitored by Sunil Gaikwad Social League Captain/Director For Youth Cricket BOCC
